Funding
The FWF-ASTRA awards support successful, internationally visible researchers from all disciplines who received their PhD min. 2 to max. 9 years ago. Projects are funded with min. EUR 500,000 to max. EUR 1,0 million for 5 years. For the next call (with an expected submission deadline in autumn), the FWF is organizing an information webinar on May 19, 2025, at 9:30, during which the specifics and application guidelines of the programme will be presented.
If the event is booked out, please register for the waiting list, so the FWF sees demand and hosts additional events for this call.
The Marie-Skłodowska Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship (MSCA-PF) is a post-doctoral research and training programme in which the postdoc (fellow) gains additional skills and abilities working on a specific research project in a new environment while also transferring their knowledge within their new institution. Open to all research fields, the fellowship is a well-defined, 2-year-career stage. In addition to running an Expression of Interest programme to attract qualified candidates, the University also offers extensive support to applicants (https://forschungsservice.univie.ac.at/foerdermoeglichkeiten/msca-pf/).
Please note: Postdocs currently employed at the University of Vienna are eligible to apply with the University of Vienna as a host if they have not been in Austria for more than 12 months between 11 September 2022 and 10 September 2025!
