Franziska Seidl Postdoc positions

Application Deadline: Sept 9, 2026

Three fixed-term positions (6 months each) for female postdoctoral researchers are announced. Postdocs can focus on the completion of a research project, the finalization/revision/submission of a research proposal and/or the completion of publications.

FUNDING

The FWF-ASTRA awards support successful, internationally visible researchers from all disciplines with min. 500,000 to max. 1 million Euros. In addition, funding for women can be topped up with a tenure package of 200,000 Euros. The duration of the projects is 5 years. Applicants must have completed their doctorate at least 2 to a maximum of 9 years ago. The submission deadline is Sept 10.

ERC Grants 2027: The 2027 ERC Work programme will be published in July. The application deadline for ERC StG 2027 is expected to be on Oct 14, 2026 (tbc), and the one for ERC CoG 2027 on Jan 12, 2027 (tbc). EurAsia Award for Research in East and Southeast Asia

Application Deadline: Sept 15, 2026

The Cluster of Excellence EurAsian Transformations funds extended study and research stays in Asia, with a thematic focus on the application of digital tools and methods to the study of cultural Heritage.

Vienna Center for Advanced Studies (ViCAS) Fellowships 2027–2028 

Applications until: Aug, 28, 2026, 14:00 (CEST)

Each academic year, ViCAS hosts around 30 fellows divided over three residencies. ViCAS invites applications from international scholars from all academic disciplines with an outstanding academic record and an interest in interdisciplinary engagement.
