What you should have heard about:
Funding
The FWF-ASTRA Awards support successful, internationally visible researchers from all disciplines who received their PhD min. 2 to max. 9 years ago. Projects are funded with min. 500,000 to max. 1 million Euro for 5 years. The next call, with an expected deadline in autumn, will open shortly.
The ÖAW PostDoc Track funds fellowships for 3 -12 months in the humanities and social and cultural sciences to assist in transitioning to the postdoc phase. The doctoral /PhD studies must have been completed no longer than six months before the submission deadline-next submission deadline: Nov 17, 2025.
ERC Starting and Consolidator Grant (ERC StG/ CoG) 2026: The following calls will open in July, when the new ERC Work programme will be published, and will have a deadline on Oct 14, 2025, for StG and Jan 13, 2026, for CoG (tentative). You can find more information about these funding schemes on the ERC website and in the u:wiki.
